John Lansat, CPA

I have always enjoyed math. When I was six or seven years old, I remember spending time with my grandfather, an inventor and Detroit businessman, working on math tables to learn how to multiply. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business. Upon graduating, I felt that further education was a need. Encouraged by family and my future wife, Margo, I decided to pursue a degree in accounting. I enrolled at Walsh College in 1996. I worked for an accounting firm during the day, and I went to school at night. I graduated with a Master of Accountancy in 1999.

For several years I worked for a regional public accounting firm. I then decided to experience corporate accounting, and I worked for a Fotune 500 subsidiary as a controller. Leveraging these experiences, I decided to start my own accounting firm to provide one-on-one services to individuals and businesses. One of my greatest pleasures is helping other businesses and individuals succeed through development and continued growth.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time golfing with friends and family. The golf courses in Northern Michigan are some of my favorite places to play. My wife Margo and I enjoy going on long walks, love going to concerts, relish having dinner with close friends, and enjoy spending time with our toy poodle Gabby.

I welcome the opportunity to meet you, and I welcome your family to become part of our family.
